About Pagan Tech Girl and Her Mission

I wrote a page on this blog explaining who I am (feel free to click the link on this website "About Pagan Tech Girl"), but I will outline it in this blog post as well. I am an older woman and a cat lover that is a pagan/wiccan/spiritualist who also has a lot of interest and passion for technology. Most people when I tell them I am a pagan/wiccan/spiritualist they picture me as this woman that lives without electricity, technology and most likely in a hut in a forest. They say they can picture me wearing long dresses and reading my book of spells (yes, I have one) by candlelight. Well, witches did live like that centuries ago, but this is 2021 and I am very modern. I still practice healing and positive energy spells, but I am very much tied to my cybersecurity job and my electronics. My cell phone is always on me or right beside me wherever I am.

People that know me call me one of the most diverse individuals they have ever met. They are right. One of the first questions people ask me when they find out I am a witch is they want to know how I can be witchy and still be all about technology. My answer is that magic, spells and positive energy sending is all about, well, energy. Energy is invisible, but it does exist. My love of my craft and technology do co-exist peacefully. Although I love candlelight, I do live in a home with full electricity. My home shows my love of both my craft and technology. I have all kinds of witchcraft tools and two altars. No, I do not ride a broom. Believe it or not, there is something called gravity and flying to the moon is only possible with a rocket ship/spaceship, whichever you wish to call it.

I made this blog for a futuristic and innovation class so I can express how I feel about innovative ideas I conjure up (yes pun is intended), and to put any thoughts and ideas I have about futuristic things I think of or find. I am going to have a lot of fun in this blog and at times it might seem a bit out there, but what can I say? I am a witch, and we are not known to be what most people label as "normal", and to be honest, I do not want to be normal. I find that boring.

Stay tuned and check out my blog frequently, because I am going to open myself up to be as free as I can, yet professional as I can, to express my innovative thoughts and ideas. See you soon!
